An event to provide relief items to flood victims from Duyinseik Village was held at the meeting hall of General Administration Department in Thaton Township of Mon State on 25 October.

At the event, Chairman of the Township Administration Body U Kyaw Swe Win delivered an opening speech. Next, staff officer of the Township Disaster Management Department Daw Phyu Phyu Aye clarified the purposes of the provision of relief items for flood victims in the Township.

Afterwards, officials provided dried noodles and canned fish to flood victims from 30   households. Flood victims from Duyinseik Village were temporarily evacuated to relief camp as Typhoon Yagi caused heavy rains and floodwater in September in the Township.—District IPRD
