DEPUTY Minister for Labour U Win Shein inspected skills assessment for the Hotel Waiter (Waiting Staff) Level 1 at the Sanon Assessment Centre in Ward 3, Pyusawhti Road, NyaungU Township, yesterday.

In meeting with hoteliers and officials, the Deputy Minister stated that the National Skills Standards Authority (NSSA) is developing skill standards for workforce development, including skill evaluation and certification issuance. In the hotels and tourism sector, professional standards for 18 job types have been approved: eight jobs each at the level 1 and 2, and two jobs at the level 3, totalling 18.
