Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Re­public of the Union of Myanmar U Than Swe received the delegation led by Mr Edward Chaker Chaiban, Deputy Ex­ecutive Director, Humanitarian Action and Supply Operations, UNICEF Head­quarters (New York), yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they discussed and exchanged views on matters re­lating to the existing cooperation be­tween the Government of Myanmar and UNICEF, as well as future UNICEF programmes in Myanmar.

Also present at the meeting were senior officials from the Ministry of For­eign Affairs, the Regional Director of UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office, and the UNICEF Representative to Myanmar. — MNA
