The third day of the 2024 Mid- Year Gems Emporium was held at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

Local and foreign mer­chants looked around and viewed the displays of pearl lots from No 141 to 280 in the hall, and put the proposed pric­es in the tender box.

 

The officials inspected the prices for pearl lots from No 141 to 280 and announced that a total of 100 pearl lots were sold.

 

Patron of the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Com­mittee Union Minister for Nat­ural Resources and Environ­mental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi observed the tender processes in the evening.

 

The emporium will sell 160 gem lots on its fourth day. The foreign gem merchants can make the payment for their procurements in the US dollar, euro, yuan, baht and foreign currencies allowed by the Cen­tral Bank of Myanmar, and the local merchants can pay in for­eign currency or in kyat.

 

Similarly, among the 4,800 jade lots divided into three groups (A, B, and C), the sales of Group A and B will be on 22- 24 November, and Group C will be on 25-27 November.

 

The emporium is being held at the Maniyadana Jade Hall from 18 to 27 November. — Aye Aye Thant/KTZH
