UNION Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, accompanied by Chief Minister of Mandalay Region U Myo Aung, visited Shwe Man Taung Youth Sports Training Ground (Mandalay) in Aung­myaythazan Township yester­day evening and addressed athletes from the Ministry’s national Sepak Takraw team and football team, who are currently training to compete in the Fifth National Sports Festival.

The Union minister said that athletes representing the ministry must participate in the competition with a sports­manship spirit and that they need to train hard and with a team spirit during the training camp. He provided athletes representing the ministry with supplies, inspected them in the training camp and encouraged them.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture will be par­ticipating in the fifth National Sports Festival, which will fea­ture six sports: football, Sepak Takraw, volleyball, futsal, ath­letics, and golf. — MNA/TKO
