The Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) in Sinbaungwe Township, Aung Lan District, Magway Region, began disbursing loans for the 2025 monsoon cropping season to local farmers at 12:00 p.m. today.
The event opened with remarks by U San Thaw, Manager of the Sinbaungwe Township MADB, who explained that loans are being offered at a rate of Ks 150,000 per acre for paddy and Ks 100,000 per acre for sesame, with an interest rate of 5 percent. He emphasized that only farmers holding a land use certificate (Form-7) are eligible for the loans. U San Thaw explained the official rules that farmers must follow to get monsoon crop loans.
The loans were granted to farmers who had fully repaid their previous agricultural loans. According to the MADB Township Manager, a total of Ks 44.25 million was disbursed to 71 farmers from Sipin Hla Village — covering 418 acres of other crops and 17 acres of paddy fields.— Khant Win (Sinbaungwe)
