Thaugthayar Basic Education Primary School in Sitkone Village, Aung Htoo Village Tract, Maubin Township, Ayeyarwady Region, was temporarily closed this morning due to rising floodwaters caused by river inflow.

The school will remain closed for two days, from July 22 to 23, as a safety precaution. According to the Township Education Officer’s office, the missed school days will be made up on Sundays in the coming weeks to ensure students do not fall behind.
