An award ceremony honoring students who excelled in the 2025 matriculation examination, outstanding teachers, and elite students recognized by the government for achievements in both academics and sports was held today at 10:00 a.m. at Shwenyilar Hall of the school in Einme Township, Ayeyarwady Region.

The event began with a performance of the Myanmar school song by students from No. 1 Basic Education High School. Dr. Than Htay, a member of the Einme Township Management and Administration Committee, delivered the opening remarks. Daw Thin Thin Lwin, Township Education Officer, and Daw Thida Lin Lin Khaing, Headmistress of B.E.H.S.-1, offered words of thanks.

Awards were presented to Ma Zon Mimi Maung, a Grade 9 student of B.E.H.S.-1, who received the prestigious Lu Yee Chun Award for being an all-around outstanding student in the 2024–2025 academic year. Additional awards were given to students who excelled in the 2025 matriculation exam, as well as to teachers responsible for guiding Grade 9 and Grade 5 students to distinction in the 2024–2025 academic year.—Chit Thet Le (IPRD)
