A ceremony to honor outstanding students who passed the 2024–2025 Academic year’s matriculation examination was held this morning at the Bago Region Government Office.

The event was attended by Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and his wife, regional ministers, officials from the region, district, and township levels, teachers, award-winning students, and their proud parents.

The ceremony began with an opening performance by students from No. 8 Basic Education High School, who sang the inspirational song “Let’s Walk with Multi-disciplinary Education.”

Following the performance, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win delivered an address, congratulating the students on their hard work and dedication. He then presented certificates of honor and cash awards to students who achieved six, five, and four distinctions in the 2025 matriculation exam. Awards were also presented to Basic Education High Schools and Private High Schools that secured first, second, and third place rankings in the region.

 

The ceremony continued with musical performances by No. 2 Basic Education High School with the song 'Kaungchin Mingalar', No. 1 Basic Education High School with the song 'Flower Garden', and Basic Education High School (West-B) with the song 'All the Flowers Have Bloomed in Myanmar'.

The Chief Minister and his wife presented cash prizes to the performers in recognition of their contributions. The ceremony concluded with a speech of gratitude delivered by a student who earned six distinctions in the examination.— Region IPRD
