A total of 53 delegates, including 36 from ministries and 17 from private media and organizations, departed Yangon for Kunming by China Eastern Airlines yesterday afternoon to attend the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum to be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China, from 4 to 8 September.
The delegation includes dance groups from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and from Myanma Radio and Television, who will perform at the opening ceremonies of the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum and the Global South Market Fair. Representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs will participate in the discussions, while the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism will take part in the fair, showcasing Myanmar handicrafts, natural landscapes, tourist destinations, and souvenirs.
The delegation, led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, includes representatives from six ministries, private media and organizations. — MNA/TH
