THE coordination meeting on national plans and local plans for the Financial Year 2026-2027 was held at the Minis­try of Finance and Revenue, Office 46, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday morning and Dr Kan Zaw, Secretary of the National Planning Commission, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue attended and delivered a speech.

 

At the meeting, the Union minister discussed the development of national and local plans for the 2026-2027 finan­cial year, giving priority to implement the projects in accordance with the State’s vision and objectives, planning matters previously drawn up, and stra­tegically designing projects from a mul­ti-faceted perspective, preventing the wastage of funds, establishing indicative plans that need to be implemented by Union Ministries in each region, imple­menting the top-down and bottom-down approaches in line with national policy, giving priority and align planning with national goals, and giving guidance to design and prioritize projects to be con­sistent with targets of the projects.

 

Then, officials from the Union min­istries and Region/State governments presented the status of the 2026-2027 financial year, the National Plan, and the local plan. They explained the con­ditions and investment targets for in­creasing production targets, in line with the country’s guidelines and slogans. After that, the Secretary of the National Planning Commission and Union Min­ister made the necessary coordination and the meeting was adjourned in the evening.

 

It is reported that Deputy Minis­ters, Permanent Secretaries, and Di­rectors General from the Ministries attended the meeting in person, while Region/State Economic Ministers at­tended via videoconference. — MNA
