A Myanmar delegation led by Commander-in-Chief (Air) Gen­eral Tun Aung departed Yangon International Airport on 6 Sep­tember to attend the XXII ASE­AN Air Chiefs Conference (XXII AACC) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

Upon arrival on 7 Septem­ber, the delegation met individ­ually with Lao Air Force Chief Major General Khamlek Seng­phachanh, Brunei Air Force Chief Brig-Gen (U) Haji Hasza­haidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, and Indonesian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono to discuss bilateral air force matters.

 

On 8 September, the dele­gation attended the XXII AACC at the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom in Jakarta. ASEAN air chiefs dis­cussed “ASEAN Inclusivity and Sustainability of Non-Combat­ant Evacuation Operations” and endorsed joint agreements with signatures.

 

In the evening, the delega­tion joined ASEAN air chiefs at a state dinner hosted by the In­donesian Air Force Chief.

 

The Myanmar delegation returned to Yangon on 10 Sep­tember, welcomed by Yangon Command Commander Maj- Gen Pyae Sone Lin and senior Tatmadaw officers at Yangon In­ternational Airport. — MNA/KZL
