AN Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) delegation led by Col Shrikant Jethi arrived at Nay Pyi Taw airport yesterday, and Deputy Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Col Nay Aung Soe, senior Tatmadaw officials and Indian military attaché to Myanmar Jaswinder Singh Gill welcomed the delegates. The visit intends to enhance friendship between the two armed forces and exchange visits for cultural heritage.
In the evening, the delegation visited the Uppatasanti Pagoda and the white elephant hall.
Col Shrikant Jethi-led delegation comprised of a total of 120 officials and other ranks of Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force), and they will visit famous pagodas and sites in Nay Pyi Taw until 19 September. — MNA/KTZH
