JOURNALISTS from Southeast Asian countries arrived in India at the invitation of the External Language Media Section, External Publicity and Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs. On the morning and afternoon of 25 September, they visited the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to observe and learn about their operations and programmes.

At RIS, officials briefed the visiting journalists on the organization’s objectives, current projects, and planned future activities, while responding to questions from the journalists. At the CDRI headquarters, representatives explained the coalition’s background, ongoing initiatives, and future goals, engaging in detailed discussions with the visiting media members. At CII, officials provided further insights on the organization’s activities and its role in India’s industrial and business sectors.

Following the meetings, the journalists visited the Dilli Haat traditional marketplace in New Delhi, which was established in March 1994 by the Delhi Tourism Department and other institutions. The venue showcases handicrafts, local food, and cultural traditions from across India in a single location, and regularly hosts traditional cultural events.
