IT has already announced that Tatmadaw columns recaptured, one by one, the areas of Madaya, Singu and Thabeikkyin townships in Mandalay Region that had been temporarily controlled by so-called PDF terrorist groups on 31 December 2025, and Tatmadaw also reoccupied Nyaungpintha, Poe Zar Nwe, and Kyaukhlebee villages, the regiment headquarters and vicinity areas of Seingon village along the Thabeikkyin-Mogok road on 14 January 2026.
Tatmadaw columns wiped out the terrorists hiding along
the road section between Seingon village and Mogok on the Thabeikkyin-Mogok road, and in order to reopen the routes, Mogok-Thabeikkyin-Mandalay, as quickly as possible, the columns were divided and carried out security operations.
Yesterday, Tatmadaw columns marching after conducting operations from the Seingon Village recaptured Ohndan village, while another column from Mogok reoccupied Kinn village, Kinn bridge and its vicinity areas, which were temporarily controlled by terrorists, located about 10,000 metres northwest of Mogok.
It was also found out that the terrorists used the monasteries, schools, houses and bridges as their bunkers and temporary camps to collect money.
Tatmadaw columns continue to carry out necessary area control and security operations to clear the remaining sections of the route. In cooperation with residents, efforts to strengthen area security and control will be intensified to ensure the earliest reopening of the routes connecting Mogok, Thabeikkyin, and Mandalay. — MNA/KTZH
