The 73rd anniversary of the Myanmar Fire Service Day was celebrated at the sports grounds in Gangaw, Magway Region this morning.

Firstly, those present saluted the National Flag, the fallen heroes and took an oath. The address by Deputy Commissioner U Kyaw Min Nyo followed. Next, firefighters demonstrated firefighting capabilities and rescue operations for trapped people with the use of fire extinguishers. Those present also viewed the modern firefighting equipment displayed by the Myanmar Fire Services Department at the booths.

Also present at the ceremony were departmental staff, members of social organizations, local people and students.—IPRD
