FOR enhancing the qualifica­tion of the next generation of young golfers, a six-day jun­ior development programme has been ongoing in Yangon, according to Myanmar Golf Federation.

 

The duration is from 1 to 6 April, the development programme has been still in progress at Yangon Golf Club (Danyingon) in Yangon.

 

It is a part of MGF project that aims to facilitate the de­velopment of young golf play­ers so that they will be able to compete in international tour­naments and enjoy victories.

 

MGF organizes local com­petitions 5-10 times a year as well as it also joins internation­al events in order to encourage new young players to stand out and polish their skill.

 

Professional golfers Ye Htet Aung and U Kyaw Ko Ko Chit, who is Myanmar national team supervisor, are coaches and a national golf player Hein Naing Zin is assistant coach. Ye Htet Aung has participated in international tournaments as a professional golfer and gained success. — MT/ZS
