FOR enhancing the qualification of the next generation of young golfers, a six-day junior development programme has been ongoing in Yangon, according to Myanmar Golf Federation.
The duration is from 1 to 6 April, the development programme has been still in progress at Yangon Golf Club (Danyingon) in Yangon.
It is a part of MGF project that aims to facilitate the development of young golf players so that they will be able to compete in international tournaments and enjoy victories.
MGF organizes local competitions 5-10 times a year as well as it also joins international events in order to encourage new young players to stand out and polish their skill.
Professional golfers Ye Htet Aung and U Kyaw Ko Ko Chit, who is Myanmar national team supervisor, are coaches and a national golf player Hein Naing Zin is assistant coach. Ye Htet Aung has participated in international tournaments as a professional golfer and gained success. — MT/ZS
