With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were disbursed to farmers Kuphyu, Nipagone, Kywetat, Shwegone villages in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region yesterday. The disbursement of loans is the first of its kind in the villages.

Four people have reportedly died and five others were injured after a passenger bus fell into a gorge in Yanbye Township, Rakhine State; the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
