Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye attends ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth in Vientiane, Lao PDR

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye attended the Eleventh ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth (AMMY XI) and the Seventh ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth (7th AMMY + 3) in Vientiane, Lao PDR yesterday.
MAI launches Yangon-Hangzhou direct flights

Myanmar Airway International (MAI) has launched direct flights between Yangon and Hangzhou as part of the expansion of its flight network. This is the second direct flight that MAI has introduced from Myanmar to China. Previously, there was only a direct flight to Guangzhou.
Illegal hardwood timbers seized in Htaukkyant

FOREST officials seized Pyin-gadoe, a marketable species of hardwood weighing 1.7 tons in Htaukkyant Township, Min-galadon District, Yangon North District on Friday, though two suspects in possession of the hardwood remain at large.

Border trade value increases by $ 1.15 bln this fiscal year

FROM 1 October to 5 July in this fiscal year (FY), the value of border trade reached US$ 8.02 billion, recording an increase of $1.15 billion compared to the same period of last fiscal year, according to the Ministry of Com-merce.
