The welcome and congratulatory ceremony for the outstanding employees and departmental heads of the State and Region Information and Public Relations Departments, who attended the annual general meeting and 33rd anniversary ceremony of the department was held in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information yesterday.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn appreciated for the outstanding employees of the department who won the awards in the respective competitions and the staffs who served dutifully in the various areas of responsibility. He also stated that the Ministry of Information generally has no holidays as it has to serve for the public. He also urged the staffs to develop good manners and sprit.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the Chairman of the State Administration Council has given guidance to fulfill the necessary things of the staffs serving in the border areas and the staff also need to cooperate with the relevant departments to meet the missions and visions of the government, especially to work together in countering the misinformation that are destroying the nation’s peace and tranquility by convincing the public on social media. Then, the Union Minister gave the financial supports to the staff from the respective border areas before enjoying dinner together. — MNA/TRKM
