Government officials provided cash assistance today to residents whose homes were damaged by the recent Mandalay earthquake. The aid distribution took place at three locations: the Sagaing 700th Anniversary Football Pitch, Sikhongyi Pagoda, and the Urban and Housing Complex.

The National Disaster Management Committee provided a total of Ks. 6,359.2973 million to 1,780 households affected by the earthquake in Sagaing Township, with disbursements taking place from 16 to 19 July.

The event was attended by U Tin Than Win, Minister of Natural Resources and Social Affairs for the Sagaing Region Government, U Nyunt Win Aung, Minister of Social Affairs, U Sai Naing Naing Kyaw, Minister of Ethnic Affairs, and other departmental officials.
