Farmers in Minhla Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, began receiving loans for 2025 rain-fed crops today at the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank.

The bank plans to disburse a total of Ks. 2,100 million to 3,000 farmers holding official Land Use Certificates (Form-7) for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.

Since May 2025, a total of 1,205 farmers from 23 village tracts have received loans under the program. As of 23 July, an additional 155 farmers from three village tracts were granted Ks. 94.85 million in funding. The loan disbursement period runs from May through the end of September 2025.

According to the bank’s manager, remaining eligible farmers in the township will continue to receive loans throughout the loan period.— Win Myat (Ahtet Minhla)
