Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development conducted an inspection of the concrete road paving project in Thitpokgon Village, Pathein District in Ayeyarwady Region this morning. The project is being carried out under this fiscal year’s Village Development Project (VDP).
During the inspection, officials met with local villagers to discuss the progress of the work. They emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule and ensuring it meets the required quality standards within the specified timeframe.
The concrete road under construction measures 355 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and six inches in thickness. The project began in the second week of July and is being implemented by the villagers with technical support and close supervision from the District and Township DRD staff. It is funded with Ks 18.0 million—Ks 15.0 million provided by the Department of Rural Development, and Ks 3.0 million contributed by the local community.
As of now, approximately 95 percent of the work has been completed. Once finished, the new road will enable residents of the village to travel safely and comfortably throughout the year.— Cho Than Nyunt (DRD)
