In an effort to enhance local fishery resources, promote food security, and conserve native fish species, the Nyaung Le Bin District Fisheries Department held a fish-stocking ceremony in Kanywa Stream, located in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region, at 9 a.m. today.
The event was attended by U Nyunt Swe, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, U Htein Win, District Fisheries Officer, departmental staff, and around 300 participants from various departments.
As part of the initiative, a total of 200,000 fingerlings were released into the stream, including 100,000 two-inch-long rohu and 100,000 swan bards.— Township IPRD
