THE Ambassadors and Heads of Mission to Myanmar signed the Book of Condolence opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sagawah Street, Yangon, to honour the memory of Pro Tem President U Myint Swe, who passed away on 7 August 2025.
On 11 August 2025, Mr Nguyen Cong Son, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Dr Ahmed Abdallah Mahmoud Atiya Eltahlawy, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and U Myint Htay, Honorary Consul of South Africa, signed the Book of Condolence. Senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warmly received the diplomats and the Honorary Consul upon their arrival.
The diplomats and the Honorary Consul conveyed their profound condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of the Pro Tem President as well as to the Government and people of Myanmar. — MNA
