To promote forest greening, environmental conservation, and climate balance, the Township Forestry Department and the Rural Road Development Department, under the supervision of the Township Management and Administration Committee, jointly organized the second tree planting activity of the 2025 rainy season this morning in Maukme Township, Linkhe District, Shan State (South).
The event began at 8 a.m. along both sides of the Maukme–Yaw Thit bypass road. U Min Thet Naing, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, joined by committee members, township-level department staff, social organizations, ward and village tract administrators, and local residents, took part in planting saplings at designated sites.
A total of 400 trees were planted during the event, including 50 teak, 50 seinpan pya, 100 acacia, and 200 mahogany saplings.— Sai Myo Thant (Maukme)
