A new postage stamp with nine species of birds endemic to Myanmar will go on sale on 20 August, the Myanma Post Office announced.
The department under the Ministry of Transport and Communications aimed at enthusiastic collectors to enjoy gathering all nine indigenous bird species in a single block.
Consisting of nine special editions of K200 stamps, the new block will start selling simultaneously at 9:30 am on 20 August at postal offices in Nay Pyi Daw, Yangon, Mandalay and other regions and states.
As a special programme, stamps sold in Nay Pyi Daw, Yangon and Mandalay on that day will bear printed date marks. The stamps have already been distributed to the post offices in regions and states.

The MoTC also sold another block of three 200-Kyat stamps on 20 July to commemorate the joint Myanmar-Russia tiger conservation. — MT/ZN
