THE Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA) said applications are open to the Tour Operator and Travel Operation Management Programme 2025, scheduled in October.
The training course, which is being designed in accordance with ASEAN Common Competency Standards for Tourism Professionals (ACCSTP), will be conducted by UMTA Human Resource Development (HRD).
Main themes of the course are- tour product and service creation, business management, use of digital technology, customer service and communication, marketing strategy, tour arrangement and implementation, safety, travel insurance, travel police and joint forces and communication course schedules. It is suitable for those who wish to start a travel business, experienced tour company staff and students learning the travel sector.
It is an online course scheduled from 10 October to 30 November on every Saturday and Sunday from 6 pm to 9 pm, and the fee is K200,000 for members and K250,000 for non-members. It will bring skill improvement in compliance with ASEAN norms, opportunity for business development, capacity improvement and ability for international competitiveness.
