Kyaukse, 22 August

A fire broke out at around 1:05 a.m. today in Sugyi Htan Taw Village, Pyi Lone Naing village tract, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region due to an overheated wooden power strip.

The fire destroyed a 30x30-foot two-story house owned by U Tin Aye. Firefighters, led by district and township officials, extinguished the blaze in one hour and 19 minutes using two fire engines. No injuries were reported.— Thet Maung (Kyaukse)
