SOME Myanmar MSME products have been planned to penetrate the Thai market through official exports, said Mya Ponnama wholesale trading centre owner U Hein Htike Aung.
This plan will be introduced at Mahar Nwe shopping centre in Mahachai, Thailand, in September and October with about 30 booths. “As a trading company, we trade agricultural products, and we have also tried to trade MSME products for 3-6 months. Now we have planned to introduce our MSME products on the shelves of the Maha Nwe shopping centre in Mahachai, Thailand, through official export,” he said.
At the shopping centre booths, clothes, shoes and lacquerwares as well as ready-made foods such as monhingar paste and ngapi kyaw (fried fish paste) will be sold.
At present, they have sought a Thailand FDA certificate, he said.
“For now, about 20 MSME businesses have initially proposed. We have aimed to launch it with about 30 booths,” he added. — Htet Oo Maung/ZS
