The Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) branch in Paukkaung Township, Pyay District, Bago Region, disbursed a total of Ks53.5 million in agricultural loans this morning. The funding aims to support local farmers in boosting crop yields and enhancing agricultural productivity.
Loans are being provided to farmers who successfully repaid their previous loans last year, with a disbursement rate of Ks1.5 million per acre of paddy land. As part of this initiative, Ks43.9 million was systematically distributed to 110 farmers from the Wettoe Village Tract, covering 293 acres of farmland. Additionally, Ks9.5 million was granted to 16 farmers from Ward-3, covering 64 acres. In total, Ks53.5 million was disbursed.
The MADB branch expressed appreciation to farmers who made timely repayments in installments and reaffirmed its commitment to continue offering financial support to eligible farmers under the bank’s lending policies.— Phone Kyaw Zin (IPRD)
