UNION Minister for Labour U Aung Kyaw Hoe received Myan­mar-Lao Friendship Association Chairman U Win Maung and his team at the meeting hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yester­day morning.

The Union minister dis­cussed the MoU on cooperation in labour matters between Myan­mar and Laos, the establishment of a working group to implement the process of issuing Certificate of Identity (C of I) to undocu­mented Myanmar citizens living and working in Laos, and the verification of the procedures for sending workers to Laos follow­ing the procedures, rules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The meeting was attended by the permanent secretary and officials, the chairperson and responsible officials from the Myanmar-Laos Friendship Association. — MNA /MKKS
