With the aim of ensuring drinking water security, officials from Hsi Hseng Township Department of Rural Development distributed drinking water to local people who reside in two villages in Hsi Hseng Township, Pa’O Self-Administered Zone, Southern Shan State yesterday morning.

Township officer U Aung Naing Win and staff from Township Department of Rural Development and Village-tract Administrator U Kyaw Naing conducted the distribution of drinking water for 356 people from 54 households in the villages.

“There is a well in the village but in summer, it takes about half an hour to get 5 gallons of water and the village used to face water scarcity starting from February to May” said the local people.
