Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is conducting a project to provide social pension to the elderly people over 85-year old across the nation.

The elderly in the township were provided with social pension for three months starting from 13 March by officials from Township General Administration Department via village administrators.

A total of K 18,600,000 was provided to a total of 620 elderly people in the township at a rate of K 10,000 per person.
