Myanmar, ROK hold 1st Joint General (Trade) Working Committee Meeting

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Korea (ROK) organized 1st Joint General (Trade) Working Group Committee Meeting online via Zoom yesterday. U Min Min, Director-General of Trade Department of Myanmar’s Ministry of Commerce, and Mr Chun Yoon-jong, Director-General of Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of ROK’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), co-chaired the meeting.

Over 900 curfew breakers nabbed nationwide within week

A total of 969 people — 919 males and 50 females — were charged under Penal Code Section 188 for violating curfew across the country during this week, according to Myanmar Police Force. Police also arrested a total of 193 people from 11 KTV/Bars, 16 illegal massage parlors and 7 whorehouses in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and in regions and states between 4 and 10 September for violating COVID-19 rules.

More than 100 years old ancient building of colonial era with European architectural works attractive to travellers in Mandalay

An ancient building of more than 100 years old was used as Shwe Mann Aung Si daily house in Mandalay to be able to raise downhearted dwellers for loss of lives and property in the Second World War. Nowadays, the Department of Archaeology and National Museum opens its Mandalay branch at such building constructed with European architectural works in colonial era as part of preservation.
