Torrential downpours hit Gangaw Township, Magway Region starting from the end of October and some winter crops fields were submerged due to the heavy rain.
A ceremony to provide cash aids to flood victims in Gangaw Township, Magway Region was held at an office of Ward Administrator in Ward-3 in the town of Gangaw yesterday.
The volume of rice and broken rice exported between 1 and 16 October in the current financial year 2020-2021 reached 35,637 metric tonnes, worth over US$14 million, according to an announcement from the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF).
