THE Myanmar youth badminton team has achieved an impressive haul of 12 gold, three silver, and eight bronze medals at the Badminton Asia Regional Championships 2025 (Southeast Asia), held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 7 to 12 July.
In the tournament, Myanmar claimed one gold medal each in the Under 15, Under 17, and Under 23 team events. The remaining nine gold medals came from individual competitions, including men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles events. In total, the team brought home 12 gold, three silver, and eight bronze medals.
The Myanmar sports team was led by Myanmar Badminton Federation President U Aung Paing, along with officials and coaches. The squad consisted of six male and six female youth players. They are scheduled to return to Yangon on 14 July. — Arkar Linn/KZL
