MYANMAR'S U23 football team left for Indonesia yesterday morning to take part in the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025. The Myanmar team is formed with 23 players and nine administrative and coaching officials.
The championship will take place in two cities in Indonesia from 15 to 29 July. Group A comprises Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Brunei, while Group B consists of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Group C includes Thailand, Myanmar and Timor-Leste.
The Myanmar team will play the group match with Timor-Leste on 16 July and with Thailand on 22 July.
The top teams from all groups and the best second-positioned team will have the chance to advance to the semifinals.
Myanmar youth squad is formed with three players from Ayeyawady United, five from Thitsa Arman, four from Dagon Star United, two from ISPE, two from Mahar United, one from Yadanabon, four from Yangon United and two from Hanthawady United. — Shine Htet Zaw/ TTA
