THE final match and awarding ceremony of the 2025 Sagaing Region Chief Minister’s Inter-District U25 Men’s Futsal Championship took place yesterday afternoon at the Futsal Gymnasium in the Public Sports Grounds, Monywa. Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and his wife, the Region Chief Justice and his wife, region, district and township officials, team coaches, and athletes attended the event.

Spectators watched the final match between the Kalay District futsal team and the Shwebo District futsal team, with the Kalay team winning 4-2.

Following the match, the awarding ceremony was held. Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw presented medals, K500,000 in cash awards, and a championship trophy to the Kalay District team, while his wife presented medals and K300,000 in cash awards to the Shwebo District team, which secured second place.

Next, the regional chief justice presented medals and K200,000 to the Monywa District team, which shared third place, while the regional minister for Security and Border Affairs presented medals and K200,000 to the other joint third-place team, Sagaing District.

Also, the regional minister for Economy, the region minister for Road Transport, and the region advocate-general awarded cash prizes and medals to players who received individual best-player honours throughout the tournament.
