THE Myanmar women’s team secured a silver medal at the 38th Thai King’s Cup 2025 tour­nament, currently being held in Hat Yai, Thailand, from 22 to 28 July.

 

The silver medal came from the Women’s Hook Takraw Event on 22 July, with players Nwe Nwe Htwe, Kyu Kyu Thin, Phyu Phyu Than, Khin Nhin Wai, Su Thin Zar Naing and Nay Chi Nway com­peting.

 

In this event, the Thai team claimed first place with 900 points, followed by My­anmar with 750 points, and Vietnam and Laos with 440 and 320 points, respectively.

 

The Myanmar team is also competing in the Men’s Quadrant against Malaysia and Singapore, the Women’s Quadrant against Laos, India and Vietnam, and the Mixed Quadrant against Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam in the ongoing group-stage matches. — Arkar Linn/KZL
