            The impact of torrential downpours in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region caused to overflow water from the spillway of Kyeeohn-Kyeewa Dam on September 29. The observation of 6 am showed that water overflowed from the spillway above 6.3 feet, according to an official.

            Due to the continuous rainfall triggered on September 23 in the township, rainwater inflow into Kyeeohn-Kyeewa Dam and the water level exceeded 6.3 feet above its 340 feet of the full point of the dam. However, the dam and related infrastructure are stable and reliable.

            The officials are monitoring the current situation of the overflow of the spillway and arrangements are being made to disseminate flood alerts to public in a timely manner.
