The Township Disaster Management Department provided financial aid and relief supplies to families affected by recent landslides and fallen trees in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region. The support was distributed yesterday at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department.
Following heavy rains on 28 September, large trees fell on homes, damaging three houses in Nyaung Hla Ward and one in Dwin Kone Ward. In Htin Chaung Village, landslides caused damage to three more houses, bringing the total number of affected homes to seven, according to the Township Disaster Management Department.
Assistance provided included Ks 550,000 worth of building materials for the seven damaged homes, Ks 150,000 worth of rice, and 16 types of relief items per household for 30 affected households.— Township IPRD
