THE 2025 Yangon Region Thadingyut Festival Fair, which began yesterday morning at the People’s Square in Yangon continued for its second day draws large crowds of visitors and enthusiastic shoppers.

The festival features more than 620 booths operated by industrial zones, MSME entrepreneurs, the Department of SmallScale Industries, the Department of Cooperative, the Yangon Region Investment Committee, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), the Myanmar Rice Federation, and exhibitors from various regions and states. They are showcasing and selling domestic products such as garments, foodstuffs, ornamental fish, pets, and traditional Myanmar Thanaka. The Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers and Oil Millers Association is also selling edible oils at fair prices, attracting strong buyer interest.

A talk show titled “Technological Support and Assistance for MSMEs” was held as part of the event, drawing attention from businesspeople and visitors who listened with keen interest.

Entertainment programmes on stage featured famous artistes, DJs, dance groups, and new-generation singers, bringing lively performances that enhanced the festive atmosphere. Visitors from different areas enjoyed singing and dancing together cheerfully while relishing vegetarian meals and dishes donated by the Yangon Region Government, the Yangon City Development Committee, and the Shwe Thanlwin Family.

To ensure cleanliness and order, the event organizers have placed waste bins and mobile toilets across the festival grounds. Shuttle bus services have also been arranged for the convenience of visitors, helping make the fair a pleasant and enjoyable experience for everyone. — Zaw Min Latt (MNA)/KZL
