THE second round of Myan­mar-Belarus Bilateral Consul­tations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus co-chaired by U Ko Ko Kyaw, Dep­uty Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and Mr Sergey Luka­shevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Repub­lic of Belarus, was held on the morning of 3 October 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

 

At the consultations, both sides exchanged views on My­anmar’s preparations for the up­coming general election, peace process, closer collaboration between the two Foreign Minis­tries, the enhancement of mu­tually beneficial cooperation, in­cluding in the spheres of defence and security, education, science and technology, culture, sports and tourism sector. In the con­text of regional and multilateral affairs, they exchanged views on the developments within ASE­AN, EAEU, SCO, and BRICS, as well as on strengthening cooper­ation under these frameworks.

 

After the consultations, the Myanmar delegation, led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Af­fairs, attended the lunch host­ed by Mr Sergey Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bela­rus. — MNA
