As part of efforts to promote a free and fair multi-party democratic general election scheduled for 28 December 2025, a ceremony was held on Tuesday to install an election awareness-raising billboard in Hakha Township, Chin State.
The event took place at 9:00 a.m. at the junction of Bo Gyoke Road and Tlanghrawn Road in New Market Ward in Hakha.
The ceremony was attended by Acting Chief Minister of Chin State and Minister for Security and Border Affairs Colonel Khin Maung Htwe, along with Chief Justice of the State High Court U Nay Soe, Minister for Economic Affairs U Lian Zakhup, Minister for Natural Resources U Kaw Lian Thang, Minister for Transportation U Nay Lin Aung, Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Sein Tun Hla, Acting Governor of Chin State U Min Swe, and other state-level departmental officials.
As part of the event, the Acting Chief Minister and state ministers ceremonially sprinkled scented water on the newly installed billboard, symbolizing support for public awareness of the upcoming 2025 general election. The event concluded with a group photo in front of the billboard.— District IPRD
