MAGWAY Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, accompanied by regional ministers and officials, visited the Region Call Centre at the Magway Region Election Subcommission Office yesterday morning.
The call centre was established to respond to public inquiries about the upcoming multiparty democratic general election scheduled for 28 December 2025.
During the inspection, he instructed officials to provide clear answers to questions regarding voter registration in accordance with the law and regulations. He also directed the Call Centre officials to systematically compile and maintain records of all election-related instructions, keep daily logs and telephone call records, and ensure uninterrupted phone lines. Additionally, he emphasized that officials should provide clear and accurate answers to all other election-related questions in line with the election law and regulations.
Then, the Regional Minister for Security and Border Affairs outlined the security plan, the Secretary of the Magway Region Government explained the establishment of call centres across the region’s districts and townships, and the Chairman and Secretary of the Magway Region Election Subcommission described functions of the Magway Region Call Centre.
