A donation ceremony for galvanized iron roofing sheets, contributed by the Mandalay Region Government, was held at 9:00 a.m. today at Aungthakanmyint Monastic School in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, to support monasteries affected by the recent earthquake.

During the event, the Township Sangha Nayaka, Abbot of Aung Myay Thukha Monastery, delivered a sermon. Afterward, Acting Township Administrator U Aung Aung Tun addressed the gathering on matters relating to religious and monastic affairs.

The Mandalay Region Government donated a total of 711 galvanized roofing sheets and 56 ridge caps to 15 monasteries in Madaya Township that were affected by the earthquake.— Township IPRD
