Aid supplies are now entering the Gaza Strip. This comes after a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was reached.

The 20-point peace plan set forth by US President Donald Trump called for aid to be immediately sent into Gaza after the deal was accepted.

Footage posted online by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs shows a number of trucks loaded with aid supplies at the Kerem Shalom border crossing.

In the video, an official says the cargo includes medical supplies from the World Health Organization and shelter materials, such as tents. The official also says that there are bananas, potatoes, and other kinds of fresh produce in the trucks.

The official notes that cooking gas has entered the enclave for the first time since March. At the end of the video she says, "We're ready to work and save as many lives as possible."

Reuters news agency has reported that hundreds of trucks carrying food and medical aid are expected to enter Gaza every day.

On Sunday, trucks loaded with aid were seen traveling through the Kerem Shalom crossing and the Rafah crossing, which is situated between Gaza and Egypt.

In southern Gaza's Khan Yunis, crowds of people swarmed around trucks in order to get aid supplies.
