Pwintbyu, 15 October
A fire broke out in Kyaungdawyar Village, Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region, on the morning of 13 October, according to the Township Fire Services Department.
The blaze is believed to have started at around 10:55 a.m. from an ember left in a rubber goods store owned by U Thaung Shwe of Kyaungdawyar Village.
Firefighters led by U Ye Lin Naung, Head of the Township Fire Services Department, and U Maung Maung Nyunt, Deputy Head of the Kyaungdawyar Fire Station, responded swiftly with auxiliary personnel and local residents. Two fire engines and one water tanker were deployed to contain the fire, which was brought under control and fully extinguished by 11:45 a.m.
A total of 15 stores were completely destroyed, resulting in an estimated loss of Ks 975,000. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported, and all residents and animals remained safe.
